The Dougherty Company is a Long Beach-based regional insurance broker founded in 1933. Our customers do business throughout the country and internationally. We are licensed in 29 states.

The Dougherty Company specializes in Commercial Liability and Property, Workers’ Compensation, Marine and Group Medical Insurance. Our customers include industry leaders in vegetable oil refining, marine engineering and consulting, structural engineering, oil and gas production, banking, law, accounting, real estate, investment counseling, food processing, market equipment distribution and contractors specializing in, among others, commercial tenant improvements, acoustical ceilings, wall coverings and port-related construction.

The Dougherty Company also maintains a Personal Lines Department for Homeowners, Condominium, Apartment, Automobile, Watercraft and Personal Umbrella Liability insurance.
